Fire Permit Application and Fees
This permit is to make application to install or modify a fire alarm system, fire suppression system, commercial /
kitchen hood system, fire sprinkler system or a storage tank system. Permits are also required to conduct a public
event, utilize tents or canopies, display pyrotechnics and fireworks, conduct blasting operations, remove tanks and
other operations classified as hazardous. You may view detailed information on this website and download a

The complete Application, Plans and the appropriate Fee must be submitted to the Forsyth County Fire Department
at 3000 Aviation Drive in Winston-Salem. Fees are payable by check to Forsyth County Fire Department. If you have
questions or need additional information you may contact the Forsyth County Fire Department’s Fire Prevention
Division at 336-703-2550 during the business hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
