Library to celebrate Black History Month in February

The Forsyth County Public Library is set to celebrate Black History Month with a series of programs throughout the month of February, focusing on the theme of this year’s festivities, “The History of Black Economic Empowerment.”

Highlights of this year’s Black History Month programming include an African American Business forum featuring some of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County’s most successful Black business people. There will also be a presentation on the history of Winston-Salem’s famous Safe Bus Company and its trailblazing role in paving the way for the success of other Black businesses.

Here’s a look at the complete list of Black History Month programs and activities at FCPL.
