Malloy Jordan East Winston Heritage Center celebrates 60 years!

The Malloy Jordan East Winston Heritage Center, formerly known as the East Winston library, will celebrate 60 years as a branch with the Forsyth County Public Library system. The staff and Friends of the Library welcome the community for a celebration weekend, November 14th - November 16th. Friday, November 14 at 4pm will kick off the celebration with drumming and storytelling. Saturday, November 15th is "Unity In The Community Day", with emphasis on youth activities. Forsyth County Public Library bookmobile, Face painting, and the YMCA Mo Lucas drummers will be featured. The event is from 1pm -5pm. Sunday, November 16th will feature panel discussions on the topics of "Our Youth and Education Today: Where are we headed?" and "The Importance of the Black Communities Role in Education." The event is from 1pm - 5pm
