Volunteer Workday at the Tanglewood Arboretum

Fall 2017 Volunteer Workday at the Arboretum at Tanglewood Park

Event Date: November 8, 2017
Time: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM

Location: The Arboretum Office at Tanglewood Park: 4201 Manor House Circle, Clemmons, NC 27012

Program Description:
N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center, will hold a Fall Volunteer Workday at the Arboretum at Tanglewood Park from 9am-12pm on Wednesday, November 8, 2017.

We need your help to prepare the Arboretum's many gardens for fall. We will be mulching, moving plant material, completing tool maintenance, and other fall gardening tasks. We need your person-power to help accomplish these jobs! Volunteers should expect to get dirty, tasks may include walking, lifting, bending, etc.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Cooperative Extension relies on volunteers to assist with maintenance of the Arboretum as a demonstration garden and educational space for Forsyth County residents to learn about horticulture and gardening.

If you don't normally volunteer at the Arboretum, this is a great opportunity to learn more about it and the volunteers who work there regularly.

All participants must be 16 years old or older.

Please contact Erin McSpadden (ebmcspad@ncsu.edu, 336-703-2848) with questions.
