Celebrate Earth Day with "Bird Songs"

Go on a birding trail through music and photography as local musician Michael Kuehn and his wife, photographer Hazel Kuehn, present Bird Songs on Monday, April 22 at 6 p.m. at the Lewisville Branch Library.

This piano concert/photographic display is based on the book Bird Songs: An Avian Suite, which Michael created for Hazel as an anniversary gift. The book is "one part music, one part photography, and one part poetry," according to Michael. The inspiring visuals that Hazel captures find their sonic counterpart in Michael’s piano compositions. For the presentation, Michael will provide background as to how Bird Songs came about and share how each piano piece was composed to evoke a bird's specific traits. What better way to celebrate Earth Day than with the sights and sounds of birds?

Registration is optional. Email Sue at deguzmse@forsyth.cc or call 336-703-2940 to register and receive an email reminder.
