Step into a world of fantasy and fun at the Literaissance Faire

Huzzah and revelry! Join us for a literary-themed renaissance celebration of young adult fantasy fiction at Forsyth County Central Library on Saturday, Sept. 6 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Tweens, teens, and in-betweens are invited to a magical day of exploring literary genres that blend fantasy with the adventures of adolescence.

Activities and crafts during the event include playing Dungeons & Dragons, making mini-catapults, decorating dragon-hide journals, kites and dragon eggs; and embellishing quill pens, fantasy ear cuffs, and wings.

Participants can also enter a cosplay contest (family-friendly attire required), play in Magic: The Gathering tournaments, and learn stage-like combat skills in a weaponry clinic.
