Lights, Camera, Action! Make Plans to Attend Exciting Summer Reading Program Performances
Every summer, the Forsyth County Public Library hosts several performing arts companies as part of its Summer Reading Program. This year, we're proud to welcome the Bright Star Touring Theatre and Grey Seal Puppets back to several branches for family-friendly performances that are sure to delight audiences of all ages.
Bright Star Touring Theatre performs for schools and communities, both large and small, across the country. From July 2-22, audiences will Make their way down the Yellow Brick Road and meet their favorite characters from L. Frank Baum's classic story The Wizard of Oz.
- Lewisville: July 2 at 10 a.m.
- Central Library: July 2 at 2 p.m.
- Paddison Memorial: July 22 at 10 a.m.
- Southside: July 22 at 2 p.m.
Grey Seal Puppets creates original puppet theatre, on-camera productions, and custom-built puppets and mascots. Children and families will follow the antics of Blackbeard the Pirate and his crew as they commandeer a bathtub to carry out a daring plan in Bathtub Pirates. It’s sure to be good clean fun for the whole family.

- Rural Hall/Stanleyville: July 14 at 3 p.m.
- Malloy/Jordan: July 15 at 11 a.m.
Our summer is packed with are nearly 300 programs for children, teens, adults, and the whole family.
