Cloudy skies are beginning to thin out, Tuesday afternoon, as the moisture, associated with Hurricane Imelda, off of the SE coast, moves further out to sea. Particle pollution readings are upper code GREEN, Tuesday, while ozone is low code GREEN. Strong high pressure, anchored over the NE US will ridge into the region through the end of the forecast period. Moderate NE winds will provide good air mass mixing Wednesday and Thursday, helping to keep the AQI code GREEN both days. Winds will begin to relax later Thursday into Friday allowing for a strong overnight inversion and an uptick in particle pollution levels possibly back to low code YELLOW to end the work week (GENTRY).
