A cloudy wet morning has given way to sunny skies and gusty northwest winds due to the passage of a strong cold front, which has dropped air quality levels into the middle to upper Code GREEN range. Particle pollution concentrations should continue to fall as northwesterly winds persist into tomorrow morning as an Arctic air mass moves into the Triad. This air mass will continue to infiltrate the Triad over the next couple of day to keep temperatures near seasonal for this time of year. With the air mass continually turning over, particle pollution levels should remain Code GREEN tomorrow through Thursday. (Payne)
