Calling all gingerbread architects! Families, teams and individuals can build a gingerbread creation (house, train, library, etc.) for a contest that is coming soon. Come to our Lunch and Learn series “MED instead of Meds” beginning this holiday season to explore the seven simple steps to eating the Mediterranean Way. This is a six-part weekly series that runs the first three Thursdays in December and follows the first three Thursdays in January. Virginia Lopez of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension will be our presenter. A cooking demonstration by Forsyth County's Chef Floyd Davis will be part of each session. In honor of the Geminids Meteor Shower (Dec. 7-17), come learn about meteoroids, comets, and asteroids from Annette Horsley, NASA Solar System Ambassador. This will be an in-person outdoors program (weather permitting) at Shallowford Square Park on Tuesday, Dec. 14 from 4-5 p.m. Recommended for ages 5-11 years old.
